Thai Noon seemed like a witticism when it crossed my mind,
but that was before I discovered the Pensuk Great Western Resort
and Thailand's Cowboy Country
and despite the dramatic and visual implications and parallels;
German Expressionist lighting (crisp, provocative shadows) and
the trials of a sole protagonist against overwhelming odds and
a town that turns its disloyal back on a crucial moral confrontation
that resembled Hollywood witch-hunting, blacklisting and cowardly
back-shooting, moral high ground-hypocrisy; I always thought High Noon, the movie, kind of sucked.
Your photograph is far more arresting than the movie I've just wasted our time thinking at.
So, I guess I'm not even half-witty.
